Every option, the presets, and how Baseline works out your normal. In Baseline, change them on the watch (hold the face › Customize) or in the Connect IQ app (Baseline › Settings). Baseline Lite uses the All-rounder layout in the Neon theme.

How the numbers are worked out

Your normalFor stress, Body Battery and heart rate, each 15-minute slot of the day keeps a moving average of the days the face has seen (the newest day counts 30%). It starts after one day and settles over about a week.
Today's slotsRebuilt from Garmin's sensor history every few minutes, so time spent in an activity or on another face is filled in when you come back (as far back as your watch keeps history).
vs normalThe value now minus your normal for this slot. Green is better, red is worse, grey is within a few points. While still learning, tiles show the change over the last hour instead.
Waking-day progressFrom the wake and sleep times in your Garmin user profile, so a normal day’s steps at 3 pm are judged against a normal 3 pm, not a whole day.

Always-on (AMOLED)

When the watch dims, Baseline shows the day ring as dots, the time, the date and the three tile values. Every other pixel row is blanked (alternating each minute) and the whole view shifts a few pixels every minute, keeping about 5% of the screen lit, within Garmin’s burn-in guidance. Memory-in-pixel watches keep the full face.

Touch

On touch watches, touch and hold a tile, a bar, the weather or the ring to open the matching Garmin widget.

Baseline shows Garmin’s own readings; it is general wellness information, not medical advice.
